Our funding approach is intentionally invite-only. That means we don’t run open calls or accept unsolicited proposals. Instead, we take the time to build relationships with potential partners, getting to know their work, their team, and their vision before offering funding.
We get to know an organisation through referrals, visibility in the field, or direct introductions.
If there’s strong alignment, we hold deeper conversations about your work, track record, and growth goals.
Selected organisations are invited to submit a short proposal or concept note, co-developed with REF, where helpful.
We fund projects with clear goals, shared values, and strong potential for impact and learning.
Note: REF’s grants are project-based and time-bound. While we hope for long-term relationships, each grant is tied to a specific scope of work and outcome.
